How Can I Improve My Intuition? How Can I Trust My Intuition?

Intuition is like the drop of elixir that can literally change a person’s life. Almost every great personality claim that their life’s greatest work came from a “divine flash.”

J. K. Rowling got inspiration for Harry Potter and other characters while waiting at a train station.

How things turned for her after that idea is history!

So what is this Intuition? Can we train ourselves to access it?

That’s what I’m going to write about today.


Moon Meditation

Look directly at the moon on a full moon night.

Stay under the moonlight for extended period of time strengthen Intuition.

Yogis from India knew it very well and they basked under the Moon.

Especially on a full moon night.

Remember? We Humans are basically made of water (70%).

And since Moon causes water to rise, your body also responds to it the same way!

In short, there’s a natural surge of energy when there’s full moon, and meditating can really strengthen your Intuition.

I won’t recommend you to chant Mantra because it’s a bit risky and also not everyone can continue doing it.

Hence, the best way is to look directly at the Moon, especially when it’s full Moon, and Meditate.

Subtle Your Senses

Everything we perceive in because of our five senses!

These five senses are directly responsible for how you experience the world around you. If any one sense is dull you’ll have issues with everyday life.

Intuition is often referred to as “sixth-sense,” and it’s correct to a point.

Each and every people in this world is fully capable of accessing their sixth-sense, the only issue is that they don’t know how.

One of the most potent way is to subtle the senses.

Subtling the senses does not mean limiting yourself to only a teaspoon of food.

Here’s a simple example:

(1) Sense of Touch:

When you touch your skin observe the feeling rather than just reacting impulsively.

(2) Sense of Smell:

When you smell something see how the air goes in and out.

Of course, you can avoid foul/harmful odor.

The sense of smell is a vital part of Yoga. Especially for breathing exercises.

(3) Sense of Taste:

This section is especially important for you if you have a sweet-tooth!

It’s hard to resist chocolate or your favorite ice cream.

It’s okay to have them, but in limited quantity.

Also limiting the quantity of speech that you utter daily does wonders to your Mind.

For example if you uttered 5000 words today, bring it down to 3000 the next week, 2500 the following week.

Limiting the number of words you utter will directly stable the Mind and WILL promote better and clear thinking.



(4) Sense of Vision:

If I’m not wrong eyes are probably the most important sense organ!

The eyes collect a major portion of information about our daily activities.

I’m not asking you keep your eyes closed throughout the day. And I also don’t think it’s possible!

But you can for sure limit what you see!

The best example of eye misuse is watching po*n and other intense entertainment.

If you consciously redirect your vision to only things that are really important, you’ll see that you’ll not only recall those things more quickly but also grasp new information more efficiently.



(5) Sense of Hearing:

And the last one is sense of hearing.

After eyes and nose, hearing is the most important sense organ we possess.

Here’s something you can try to see how hearing too much of something meddle with the thoughts.

Listen to your favorite music for extended period of time and after that try to focus on learning something new.

You’ll see that your Mind continuously plays the song whenever you try to focus. Stopping you for doing to work you planned to do.

Dopamine Detox

This is an another, more strict, version of subtling the senses. In the past few years you might have watched countless YouTube videos about Dopamine Detox.

Dopamine Detox is a must deeper process and very few YouTuber really go deeper into this topic!

If you practice Dopamine Detox carefully and correctly it’ll do wonders within 21 days.

Decreasing Sugar intake is the very first step towards a good Dopamine Detox session.

But then again, consult a doctor before stopping Sugar intake altogether.

Dopamine Detox is easy to follow but becomes harder with time.

Fasting

Fasting is not something new. The Hindus have a tradition of Fasting since millennia. Muslims fast in Ramadan.

Other than having great physical benefits, Fasting not only clears out body from toxic cells, it also cleanses the Mind in a big way.

Of course, Fasting won’t be that effective if you indulge is watching po*n, etc.

But what is the relation between Fasting and higher Intuitive capability?

Fasting directly impacts the physical body.

As I mentioned before, Fasting cleanses the physical body from toxins, etc.

And when the physical body is clean the Mind also works great! And when the Mind is working great, Intuitive flashes become a norm.

Do Something That Eases Your Mind (Hobby)

I have tried this method multiple times and have great results!

It’s easy to do something that you love doing.

Especially when you’re highly stressed out about a problem.

To make it easier to understand, let’s say you’re trying to solve a tricky question and failing continuously.

After trying for hours you’re stressed out and frustrated.

What most people do (including me sometimes) is to ponder continuously without giving it a break.

When you fall into such situation the best thing to do is to take a break and do something you love to do. Something that’s enjoying and isn’t too stressful.

I like reading and meditating! Whenever I’m too stressed out, I leave the task and switch to either reading my favorite book or meditate. I even fall asleep sometimes.

Believe me, your Subconscious Mind is continuously working on the problem and will let you know through a Divine Flash(Intuition, Inspiration) about a method to solve it.

Take Long Showers

Who doesn’t like taking long shower? Be it warm water or cold, long showers are soothing to the body and mind.

And guess what else taking long shower does? It calms you down a lot!

Heck, Elon Musk takes long showers for “ideas.

Not just Elon Musk, even people on community forums have claimed that taking a shower for considerably long point of time does inspire new thoughts.

Try it and see for yourself!

Spend More Time With Yourself

This is an another secret successful people don’t talk about!

They spend a lot of time alone with themselves.

Bill Gates is one of them.

Bill is known for spending time alone in a cabin.

He received great ideas when he lived alone and pondered about various questions!

You won’t have to go to the wood and live alone!

But you can spend some time alone, doing NOTHING!

How Can I Trust My Intuition?

It’s hard to trust something when there’s no proof whether it works.

Of course you can put faith in it, but very few people can really take the risk!

Risk and Faith is the secret ingredient of successful people who trust Intuition.



Seldom does Intuition ever go wrong!

Unfortunately we Humans are at fault for not having enough faith and question the Universe’s ability.

We stop ourselves from taking action and when things turn against our favor, we complain.

Practicing Pranayama(Breathing Exercises)

I have mentioned more than enough Intuition techniques.

But if you really want to dive deep, then the two practices I’ll mention now is targeted towards you.

Pranayama more commonly known as “Breathing Exercise” is a multi-dimensional technique. Practicing this technique also promotes overall health and well-being.

The word “Pranayama” simply means “taking charge of the life force.” “Prana” means Life Force/Energy, and “Yama” means Control.

Everything we are from birth till death and beyond is energy. Without energy an object is lifeless.

A person who has more Life Energy is always more effective than people with less Life Energy.

But this Energy can deplete for various reasons. And those can vary between subtle usage/wastage to more visible and obvious ways.

The most common way Life Energy is wasted is through continuous useless thoughts.

Practicing Pranayama helps in consciously recharging yourself in a very short point of time and not 8 hours (sleep).

How to practice Pranayama?

Well, I can explain the process here, but this post would stretch too much! Hence, I’ll suggest you to search on YouTube this:

(a) Nadi Suddhi Pranayama.
(b) Kapalbhati

Practice Nadi Suddhi and after waking up and before sleep for 9 minutes daily (9+9 minutes). Soon you’ll see for yourself how potent this simple technique is.

Practice Kapalbhati in an empty stomach for 9 minutes daily.

Refrain from practicing Kapalbhati if your stomach is full.

The primary benefit of Nadi Suddhi Pranayama and Kapalbhati is:

(1) Calm the Mind
(2) Clear Energy blockage in the body
(3) Stables the Mind.

(4) Strengthen Intuition.

And as soon as the Mind is stable Intuition will become a piece of cake!

The Left Nostril Technique (Do At Your Own Risk)

DO THIS TECHNIQUE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

I’ll jump straight with this one! This is the most risky technique I’ve ever tried in my life, but the results are INSANE!

If you’re observant enough you’ll know that our breathing pattern changes every few hours (depends on how active and fit your physical body is).

Sometimes we are breathing from the left nose and sometimes the right.

In this process we block the right nostril and only breath through the left.

This is not an issue when you’re breathing from the left, but as soon the right nose become dominant, you’ll have problem breathing.

The absolute correct method is to keep your right nose closed until the left nose permanently becomes dominant. But the process is too risky for countless reasons!

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND trying this process if you’ve ANY medical condition.

As for my experience, I blocked the right nostril with earplug and left it like that for about 12 hours. I experienced immense discomfort, but took the risk and continued.

After a certain point of time(days, weeks) my Intuition was on fire!

From something trivial like “this is what mom’s gonna cook today” to “don’t do that” it felt like a someone/something was helping me through my day-to-day life.

I eventually stopped doing process not just because it was hectic, painful, but also because I was having issues with my daily Yoga practices.

In the end I’ll say this again:

DO THIS TECHNIQUE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!
