7 Glow Up Night Routine To Do Before Sleep

I have repeatedly heard people talk and emphasize about Morning Routine. But, they forget to mention how important it is to maintain a Night Routine, too. Do you feel a sense of achievement when you lie on your bed? Did you take enough care of yourself? How much effect did you put to become That Girl?

Hence, in this post I’ll list down the 7 Glow-up Night Routine you must do before you go to sleep. These 7 suggestions are super-simple but I’ve personally felt how powerful the end results are. Though I cannot guarantee that your life will change immediately, but I can sure confirm that it’ll deviate towards a positive direction.

(1) Skincare

Skincare usually takes time. It may take more time depending upon your skin condition and type. If you’re thinking to start a new nighttime routine, then let it be this one. Start with skincare and then go on to complete more tasks.

Why? Because your facial skin is different from your body’s skin. It’s more sensitive and requires more care and attention. You facial skin needs to rest for sometime after a skincare routine. While it rests you can complete other nighttime tasks before finally hitting the bed.

Also, please keep these things in mind before starting a new skincare routine:

(1) Consult a skin doctor (dermatologist)
(2) You can skip strict skincare a day and let your skin rest
(3) Don’t touch your face after completing your skincare routine

Please help me with more skincare recommendations. What are some other essential skincare routine?

(2) Plan The Next Day

Planning the next day is one habit you can start in your life. It will 10X your productivity and leave no time for procrastination. It has no only helped me, but countless people who have tried it. It’s super-simple though.

You can use a sticky note, a whiteboard, or a note-taking app to write a list of things you’ll do the next day. Try not to make the list too big, keep it simple and doable. You mind hates it when you put it under too much unnecessary pressure.

Make a list of 10 things you’ll achieve the next day no matter what. At the start of your day, complete the hard ones. Leave no room for “I’ll do it later.” Once you’ve completed the hard ones, move on to the medium-hard tasks, and then complete your day by doing the easy tasks.

Trust me. You’ll feel a sense of achievement when you tick your to-do list. This simple daily habit will push up your confidence high, and urge your to work harder. Also, don’t forget to reward yourself for your success. You mind loves rewards after it works hard.

(3) Hydrate

Do your keep track of how much water you drink throughout the day? Because you should. Honestly, not hydrating enough is one of the root cause of an ill physical health. You cannot drink 4 bottles of water within 1 hour and call it a day. Your body won’t absorb it completely.

Suppose you didn’t have enough time to drink enough water during the day, To compensate, you can drink more than enough water before going to sleep. Of course, don’t drink stomach-full, but a quantity good enough to not continuously feel thirsty.

Your lips indicate whether you’re hydrating well. This is why a chapped lips is often linked to less water in the body. If you had chapped lips before sleep, and you woke up with natural healthy lips, then it’s a sign you’re well hydrated.

(4) Limit Screen Time

It’s surprising how a small device can become a worldwide problem within a decade. Gen Z knows this better than any generation. The primary reason why you should not use your phone (even with blue light filter ON) at night is because of the blue light the display emits.

Also, it’s not just about your phone’s display, but also about what your scroll through internet. You may be infinitely scrolling through TikTok or any other social media, no remembering all of it, but you subconscious does, and this heavily affects your life in the long run.

So, what can you do about it? If you can, switch to reading books. You don’t have to buy a physical book, buy a Kindle instead. Yeah, here too you’re increasing your screen time, but for a good reason. Reading book only a few pages of a good book far more healthy for your brain and subconscious mind than blindly scrolling through social media.

(5) Daily Journal

A new study suggest that we have 6200 thoughts in a day. This is way too much is you think how one thought can influence our present and future. While meditation is the solution, it needs patience and time. Something that most people don’t have.

That’s where a daily journal comes in for handy. Journaling daily can help your release negative emotions which can find expression in different forms, like anger. Use your daily journal like a person with whom you share everything. This person doesn’t judge you and listens to whatever you throw at them.

Keep this journal secret from everyone because it will contain the darkest of your secrets. Express your emotions to the fullest. Don’t stop yourself if you tear up while writing, let the energy flow through your pen. It’ll cure your past trauma and heal your immensely.

(6) Being Grateful For The Day

I hope you’re feeling great after releasing all your bottled-up emotions of the day. It’ll mentally heal your completely if you journal everyday. Well, now that you’re feeling good, it’s time to increase your vibration.

Being grateful increases your vibration and opens you to higher possibilities in life. It strengthens your Aura and helps you manifest your goals quicker. But I can already sense one question: How can I be grateful if nothing good happened with me?

Yeah, this is the most obvious question whenever someone is asked to be grateful. Fortunately, the Universe knows how to maintain a balance between the good and bad. Hence, if you’ve experienced a really bad day, there’s always something good hiding behind it. If you try to find the good things if your life, you’ll quickly find one. Yes, the opposite is also true.

Please don’t program your subconscious mind with negative beliefs and emotions. Because whatever you throw at your subconscious mind, it’ll return you back 10x.

(7) Meditate

I cannot put into words how beneficial meditation is for your brain. It’s the only way you can access the deepest parts of your mind. Let’s put it this way: You try hard to keep you physical body perfect, meditation is what you do with your brain. It heal your brain and sharpens your mind.

You brain needs to cool down after a long hectic work day. If you keep pushing, you either get burnt-out or feel too lazy to continue. Cool off a bit. Give your brain a little rest so that it can regain its energy.

All this talk about accessing the subconscious mind is directly related to meditation. If you meditation regularly and observe your mind, you’ll soon find a way to access your subconscious mind in sleep.

Sharing is Gratitude...
