21 Day Glow Up Challenge That Works Like Charm

It’s that time of the year when you have a chance to change yourself and glow up. If you’re one of those who really want to be the best version of yourself, then the 21 Day Glow Up Challenge is best-suited for you.

I tried and got immense results by following these 21-day glow up challenge. I hope you can too benefit from it:

Day 1: Start A Morning Routine

What is the first thing you do after waking up? Do you scroll through social media or procrastinate? Do you go back to sleep only to get up after 1 hour? If you engage in these habits, it’s time to make a change.

Create a morning routine. Take your time to establish one and, once you have it, follow it diligently regardless of circumstances. Your morning activities are immensely crucial. Starting your day with a positive and optimistic mindset sets the tone for the entire day.

Conversely, the opposite is true. If you procrastinate, use social media, or expose yourself to content that isn’t beneficial, it can negatively impact your day.

I recommend getting out of bed promptly upon waking up, followed by making your bed. Completing a simple task like this sends a positive signal to your subconscious mind, preparing you for the day ahead.

Day 2: Adopt Growth Mindset

I assume you have established a morning routine and are consistently following it. Now, let’s take a step forward. How would you rate your mindset on a scale of 1 to 100? You can either share it with me or keep it to yourself. If you find yourself below 60, the next 21 days could be transformative for your life.

The decisions that significantly impact your life are closely tied to your mindset. Interestingly, maintaining an optimistic outlook often leads to better decision-making. The opposite holds true too. This is why people who complain about everything face more challenge than an average person.

Consider adopting a Growth Mindset. Read books if necessary to grasp the who concept. One book I can recommend you is: Mindset.

Day 3: Eat Healthy

Don’t forget food! Good food. No matter how luxurious your life is, if you don’t eat healthily, your physical body is going to cause an issue.

Choosing a balanced diet is absolutely necessary to keep yourself disease-free. If you can, shift from palm oil to clarified butter (Ghee). It’s healthier and tastier than palm oil. Eat more fruits that are full of Vitamins.

Did I miss something? Yes! SUGAR. You cannot stay healthy without quitting sugar from your food. Of course, you can intake small quantities, but it’s better if you just stop consuming it.

Day 4: Take Immediate Action

Whenever you have an idea or receive a task, spring into action immediately. The majority of successful people follow this practice. They don’t allow ideas to slip away.

There’s joy in completing tasks one after another. If you keep repeating this, you’ll soon feel unstoppable. It won’t matter whether the task is complex or minuscule; you’ll exert immense action upon it without even realizing.

The opposite of taking action is procrastination. Nobody will do your task, and worse, if you procrastinate, you won’t even be able to complete it.

Day 5: Work On Your Goals Diligently

If you follow Day 4 diligently, I strongly believe that tackling your goals will become a piece of cake. Taking immediate action increases the likelihood of working diligently on your goals automatically.

Another crucial factor is consistency. Working on your goals doesn’t necessarily mean completing a large task within 24 hours. It’s about being consistent. Keep working on a task step by step every day, and eventually, you’ll reach the end of it.

Day 6: Practice Mindfulness

If there’s one habit you can have as a morning routine, let it be Mindfulness. I should have included Mindfulness earlier, but it’s okay to be little late than never. Being mindfulness simply means you be stay aware of everything you do. By being mindful, you’re aware of every thought, feeling, emotion.

If you regularly practice Mindfulness, your life will change drastically. Why? Because you’ll start looking at life differently. You’ll think twice before doing anything.

Mindfulness alone can cure every problem from your life if you make it a conscious habit. Embrace mindfulness. I’m sure you’ll discover the New You.

Day 7: Keep Distractions Away

If you observe closely, distractions are the primary reasons you face hurdles in completing tasks. In fact, distractions are so harmful that there are books written on this topic.

In these times, your mobile phone is the primary cause of distraction. Simon Sinek has proven that even the mere presence of your phone is enough to distract you, even if it’s switched off.

Of course, for you, it might not be your phone. Whatever it is, keep that thing out of your sight when you’re doing something important. Only by keeping your distractions away can you achieve more in a day than you can in a week.

Day 8: Workout

You’ve been eating healthy, and now it’s time to kick your physical health up a notch. Establish a strict habit of working out, making it a regular occurrence rather than just a once-in-a-blue-moon thing.

Whether you choose to hit the gym or engage in yoga, the key is to incorporate physical exercise into your routine. Stay hydrated during your workout; it’ll enhance the benefits even more.

Begin with just a few minutes, and gradually increase the duration over time. Your body will thank you for this commitment to a healthier, more active lifestyle.

Day 9: Journal Daily

You’ve finished 8 days of the 21-day glow-up challenge. Now, take a moment to jot down how you’re feeling about the new routine. Are you already feeling good, or do you think the full impact will come after the whole 21 days?

Keeping a daily journal is a great way to let out your feelings, whether they’re good or not-so-good. Bottling up emotions can mess with your thinking and, in some cases, even lead to health problems.

Give journaling a try. Get yourself a new diary and start writing down whatever’s on your mind. The best time to do it is before you go to sleep.

Day 10: Stay In Good Company

Surrounding yourself with positive people can make a real difference in your life. You’ll notice it even more when you shift from a negative group to a positive one.

Optimistic individuals radiate positivity and naturally attract good things into their lives. Conversely, pessimistic people often find themselves facing challenges. If you’re already part of a positive group, consider yourself fortunate. Being in good company can make you feel mentally lighter, as if all your problems have disappeared.

As you approach the midpoint of the challenge, try making this one change in your lifestyle and witness how your life takes a positive turn.

Day 11: Don’t Sacrifice Sleep

How many hours do you sleep? Is it around 8 hours or less? While doctors recommend a solid 8 hours of sleep daily, those who meditate regularly seem to experience something different.

I’m no expert, but I’ve noticed that when your body and mind are healthy and content, you naturally need less sleep. The more you meditate, the less sleep you might find yourself needing.

If you’ve been practicing mindfulness, you might observe a decrease in your usual sleep duration. It’s okay if your body naturally needs less sleep, but don’t push yourself to sleep less. If your body requires 6 hours of rest, let it have those 6 hours. The same goes for 9 hours.

But remember, no sacrificing sleep! It’s crucial for your well-being.

Day 12: Stay Organized

Staying organized all the time can be tough. It requires constant motivation and a push to stick to a routine. With only 10 days left in the challenge, it’s time to check if you’re still on track with an organized lifestyle.

Journaling is a great tool here. Since day one, you’ve been following a morning routine. Are you still keeping up with it? Being mindful, working out, eating healthy—how’s that going?

If you’ve missed a few, don’t worry. With a bit of practice, you can get back on the right path. After your journaling session, bring everything back together.

Keep aiming for an organized life. It’s not just about how your room looks; it’s also about how organized your mind is. Declutter your life, and you’ll automatically feel more organized than before.

Day 13: Keep Learning New Skills

Begin acquiring new skills. The glow-up journey isn’t just about enhancing your appearance but also about enriching yourself with skills and knowledge. Are you actively pursuing new skills?

Let day 13 mark the beginning of learning something fresh. It could be anything, but the key is to start learning. Believe me, it’ll pay off in the long run.

Moreover, consistent learning pushes your mind beyond its limits, propelling you one step further than before.

Day 14: Eliminate Clutter

Clutter is the enemy of staying organized. Unfortunately, many people have a habit of holding onto things they never really need, whether it’s in their mind or in their house. It’s the 14th day, the perfect time for a “clutter-elimination” spree.

Find out the things that you don’t use and need anymore. Either donate them or just toss them in the garbage bin. I read somewhere that too much clutter invites negative vibration which is not good for your life.

Now, I don’t know about this vibration thing, but naturally, you’ll feel better when your house is rid of unnecessary things.

Day 15: Delegate The Less Important Tasks

Have you heard about the 80/20 principle? In a nutshell, it states that 20% of the tasks contribute to 80% of the results. This principle is evident in various aspects of our society, especially in big companies where 20% of the employees often earn 80% of the salary.

Now, as you’re on your journey to becoming the best version of yourself, it’s time to apply the 80/20 principle in your life. Concentrate on the crucial 20% and delegate the remaining 80% to someone you trust.

By intensely focusing on the 20%, you’ll automatically bring about significant changes in the remaining 80%. Successful people excel in delegation; they discern what’s best for them to do and what tasks can be delegated to others.

Day 16: Decrease Social Media Use

I suppose you knew this was coming. Social media is a powerful tool, but as it is with most powerful things, they are used mostly for negative purposes.

Initially, social media was only used to find long-lost friends and always stay connected with your close ones. But here we are, almost two decades later, and social media has become a bane.

You need to stop infinitely scrolling through social media if you do it. This is not only harming your brain but also killing your time.

Download Kindle and read a book instead of using social media. Better yet, read a physical book.

Day 17: Take Skincare Seriously

If you’re working hard to improve yourself mentally, why not also take care of your skin? Honestly, if you’re eating healthy and working out regularly, you skin will automatically be healthy.

Yet, it’s important to pamper your skin from external harm.

This are the simplest ways you can take care of your skin:

  • Clean Regularly
  • Apply Sunscreen
  • Stay Hydrated
  • Skin-suitable Products
  • Follow Healthy Lifestyle

If you are a pro at skincare, you can try it for yourself, but most of the time a healthy lifestyle, protecting from sun, and regular cleaning if more than enough to keep your skin healthy.

Day 18: Learn To Let Go

Bottling up emotions is painful. The only way to free yourself is to just let go. Is there something bothering you? Doesn’t matter whether an incident happened years ago or today, thoughts and feelings are always there to disturb you.

Hence, it’s important that you let go. Here’s a trick: Choose one thought that is bothering you. Close you eyes and let the thoughts run through your mind. Let the thoughts and emotions run. The trick is to not react. Just observe the thoughts and feelings emerging from it. Be patient.

If you just keep observing those thoughts and feelings without getting involved, soon you’ll see that the thoughts and feeling subside and become docile. It is not affecting you with the same intensity it once used to. If, after some time, the thoughts don’t affect you anymore, that means you have Let Go of it.

Day 19: Practice Gratitude

Gratitude is like the little piece of sugar crystal in a salty food. You just cannot miss it when the sugar crystal touches your tongue. That’s how being grateful works in life.

Either in success or failure, being grateful protects you from falling into depression. Gratitude helps you realize that not all things in life are bad.

And when you succeed at something, it’s gratitude that helps you keep yourself motivated. Surprisingly, ungrateful people hit a roadblock because they are always cover themselves in negative aura.

I know you have felt how being grateful feels like, but when was the last time you expressed gratitude in adverse situations? Try being gratitude whole day and see how it feel?

Day 20: Don’t Be The YES Person

As we approach the final stretch of our 21-day glow-up challenge, get ready to revolutionize your personality. The key change awaiting you? Embrace the art of saying NO

Yes, it’s not easy to say NO straight on someone’s face, but there’s where your strength lies—not in physical might, but in mental resilience. Saying a NO demands immense mental strength.

And you know what’s going to happen if you start saying to most of the things? irrelevant people and situations will automatically drift away from your life. In the end, the people who will stay with you are those who are head-strong and respect you.

If you’re skeptical and think saying NO is a breeze, give it a shot for a day. Of course, saying NO doesn’t mean rejecting outright everything.

Day 21: Take A Break & Relax

Congratulations on completing the 21 days – you did it! How are you feeling? Can you sense the positive changes? Even if they’re subtle, each little shift is a victory worth celebrating. And if you’re not experiencing a massive transformation, that’s perfectly fine. The smallest changes should be ample motivation to weave this challenge into your routine regularly.

Now, it’s time to hit pause. After these transformative 21 days, I’m certain you’re craving a break from the rigid routine. Take a moment for yourself, revel in the freedom, and embrace the present. Always remember: You Are Enough!

You hold the power to become the best version of yourself whenever you choose. Just take that first step, and watch as positive transformations unfold effortlessly.

Sharing is Gratitude...
